Job summary

The Red Hat Field Marketing team is looking for an Account-based Marketing Manager to join the North America Field Marketing team in San Francisco, CA. In this role, you will guide marketing for both the sell-in and sell-through relationship with network equipment providers (NEPs) strategic to Red Hat. As a member of the North America Account-based Marketing team, you’ll be a critical demand generation resource focused on both building and implementing inbound and outbound marketing campaigns through multiple marketing channels. You will work in close alignment with sales and marketing teams to succeed in this role.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Understand what challenges NEPs face as a business, discover how and by whom decisions are made in those organizations
  • Manage and promote an editorial calendar of innovative content and marketing assets that align with the customer journey and sales buying stages and support the GTM and co-marketing plans for assigned NEP accounts
  • Deploy ready-to-carry-out marketing tactics and provide sales enablement on an account and industry basis using various channels including digital, events, and social media
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive account profiles and target personas; oversee a database of named contacts to align marketing and sales in defining the target audience required to achieve account goals
  • Work with sales to identify gaps in key personas and contact information within strategic accounts; develop data and insight strategy to add key personas and contacts within accounts
  • Collaborate with the global Account-based Marketing Program team to create and gain consensus for cross-portfolio GTM plans and marketing plays in alignment with strategic product mandates and sales directives
  • Analyze metrics and reports to determine effectiveness of program activities and integrated cloud content consumption
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness through better audience segmentation, marketing techniques, and processes

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of account-based marketing experience in high tech; Telco vertical background and experience working with NEPs
  • Experience building and carrying out account-based marketing programs
  • Clear understanding of cloud and emerging technologies with the ability to integrate into programs that deliver on sales and strategic objectives
  • Great presentation skills to translate detailed content into impactful GTM materials including web, email, and social media content; good listener
  • Experience directing digital marketing campaigns and planning and delivering social media strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve practical results working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, alliances, and product teams
  • Ability to maintain focus on customers and attention to details
  • Persistent and resourceful
  • Goal-oriented and collaborative with the ability to take initiative and deliver projects unsupervised
  • Solid project management, planning, and organizational skills
