Job summary

Use this great opportunity to make a difference in both existing and new Red Hat solutions, programs, and processes. The Red Hat Product Security team is looking for an intern to join us in Westford, MA. In this role, you will work with internal product and engineering teams to secure, test, and maintain Red Hat's open source solutions. You'll work with geographically dispersed engineering and support teams focusing on different projects, and you will coordinate project deliverables. Working with the Product Security Program Management team, you will need expertise in organization, writing, and business analysis to understand the requirements and business drivers for Red Hat's solutions. You'll also need to be able to apply your skills and experience to facilitate collaboration with your teams and be motivated and accountable for your own commitments and deliverables.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Work with key stakeholders to create, organize, and edit Product Security knowledge artifacts; ensure that the information is clear, accurate, and understandable for both technical and consumer audiences
  • Facilitate the requirements gathering, prioritization, and resource allocation within the Product Security team; work with the leadership team to define and implement processes
  • Assist with internal Product Security team’s projects
  • Develop and nurture key relationships with Product Management, Product Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Release Engineering management
  • Assist in tracking risks and escalate new risks or obstacles to the team
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, trust, and accountability for departmental and cross-functional teams

Required skills

  • Experience working in a cross-functional, collaborative environment; ability to bring different groups of people together to collaborate in a community setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with team members dispersed across multiple countries and time zones
  • Dynamic and effective virtual meeting facilitation skills over the phone and internet
  • Technical knowledge of and experience with software development is a plus
