Job summary

The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for a Technical Marketing Intern to work with the OpenShift product marketing team in Raleigh, NC. You will act as a cross-unit team member, working with product marketing, Engineering, evangelists, and the Reference Architecture team covering topics including automation, security and compliance, performance, testing and more. You should have a solid technology background and a creative mind.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Develop automation and test cases around the installation and configuration of OpenShift by Red Hat
  • Investigate security, performance and other industry benchmarks and standards and how they relate to the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
  • Work with the OpenShift marketing team on various surveys and collecting and interpreting survey data
  • Develop a catalog of OpenShift by Red Hat demonstrations

Required skills

  • Experience with Linux container technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
  • Software or application development experience using any major language like Java, Ruby, Node, Python, Perl, .NET
  • Experience using and administering the Red Hat family of operating systems
  • Experience creating demos or other forms of evangelizing technology solutions
  • Currently pursuing bachelor's or graduate degree, preferably in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering; candidates with bachelor's degree in a technical field working toward an MBA will also be considered
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and outstanding interpersonal skills and be prepared to work with a globally distributed team
  • Experience with cloud solutions like Amazon EC2, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, CloudFoundry, or Heroku is a plus
  • Experience using idempotent configuration management technologies, preferably Ansible (Puppet, Chef, etc.), is an advantage
