Job summary

The Red Hat Voice of the Customer (VoC) team is looking for a Voice of the Customer Intern to join us in Raleigh, NC this summer. In this role, you will become part of a program that manages the collection and analysis of customer feedback and monitors cross-functional closed loop improvement initiatives. You'll learn about customer feedback and influencing positive change within the organization based on that feedback. As a Voice of the Customer Intern, you’ll need to be passionate about customer service and proficient in collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing information in a way that produces actionable outcomes for improving the Red Hat customer experience.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Research, examine, and recommend industry best practices for achieving successful Net Promoter Score closed loop strategies
  • Create and deliver an action plan to grow and enhance the customer-focused culture at Red Hat
  • Expand and help provide journey mapping services to Red Hat teams to identify opportunities for improvement of internal processes
  • Help build a customer experience toolkit that others within the business can use, including best practices, actionable feedback, usable data, etc.

Required skills

  • Current undergraduate or recent college graduate
  • Solid understanding of quantitative and qualitative research techniques; ability to determine optimal research approach to meet given objectives
  • Experience measuring and tracking Net Promoter methodology and customer satisfaction; ability to implement actions based on survey results and statistical analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to guide change and influence various stakeholders, supported by good communication, presentation, and persuasion abilities
  • Motivated with the desire to always be learning
  • Willingness to think creatively, especially when researching industry trends
