Job summary

The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for a Senior HR Strategist and Business Architect to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will guide the process of developing effective global People team strategies. You’ll be responsible for defining and advancing HR initiatives in accordance with Red Hat's global strategy. You’ll be part of a diverse team, working collaboratively with HR consultants, Centers of Excellence teams (Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, etc.), and business leaders to design and guide people strategies and align programs with company strategies to further develop the business. As a Senior HR Strategist and Business Architect, you will provide methods of thinking about how to deal with the future challenges of Red Hat's talent and facilitate a process to guide decision-making in collaboration with strategy owners and key stakeholders. You’ll also collaborate with team members to ensure all people strategies are architected with a clear understanding of dependencies, connections, and risks. Success will be measured by your ability to design sustainable strategies which can be transitioned into global solutions.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Demonstrate expertise in strategy development and take a leadership team successfully through this process
  • Gather required data and synthesize information highlighting associated risks and changes needed for success and communicate them to the strategy owners and key stakeholders to create an effective strategy
  • Help facilitate decisions based on a deep understanding of how a plan or strategy may affect other processes or people and promote approaches to identify a shared purpose from the point of view of multiple stakeholders
  • Provide direction on integrating enterprise HR strategies by identifying opportunities, dependencies, risks, connections, and leverage points
  • Apply a system mindset to all HR strategies to architect an overall implementation and change management plan that accounts for all the interdependencies and opportunities
  • Anticipate business needs and present possible directions and future strategies for the HR team to consider through research and innovation methods
  • Understand best practices and analyze emerging trends in the industry to develop scalable people strategies, frameworks, and development programs
  • Create structure, frameworks, and process from a mere concept through to pilot and then to a scalable solution

Required skills

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy consulting and integrating HR strategies and programs in accordance with the company's strategic goals
  • Bachelor's degree in business, organizational development, human resources, or equivalent; master's degree is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to consult with all levels of leadership across the organization
  • Expertise in facilitating various strategy approaches, methodologies, and frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguities and operating in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to think and act strategically and conceptually while maintaining a focus on delivering operational excellence
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into consumable frameworks and concepts to facilitate key decision-making and set future direction
  • Ability to serve as a business-minded change agent within the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to apply best practices to change management
