Job summary

The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for an Associate Project Manager to join us in Singapore. In this role, you’ll contribute to essential administrative support to coordinate a technical project team, typically under the direction of a project manager or regional GPS lead. You will manage all back office requirements for a project, including scheduling meetings (internal, external, cross-­functional), taking meeting minutes, and developing presentations for project associates. You’ll also participate in administration of time and expenses, and support project analysis and status reporting requirements. Eventually, we’ll expect you to take on management of low complexity projects on a part time basis.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-­functional team meetings (finance, sales, resource management etc.) and develop presentations
  • Work with Resource Management Organization (RMO) to ensure projects are adequately staffed; facilitate project logistics and resource scheduling
  • Help arrange training for project management associates in coordination with the RMO
  • Support and facilitate project analysis and internal or external status reporting
  • Demonstrate foundational knowledge of the Services Global Project Management Framework and Methodology or agile processes for scrum teams; accurately maintain all processes, approvals, and system tools related to specific projects
  • Act as a liaison between the consulting team and the project accounting team
  • Support and implement Red Hat administration tasks like timely collection and approval of time cards, time sheets, and expenses
  • Support accounting activities and accounting setup to include obtaining copies of receipts for finance invoicing queries or setting up sub­contractors in the purchasing system
  • Collate all relevant project documentation like milestone acceptances, sprint burn­down charts, and ensure upload to the appropriate repository
  • Support and administer project analysis and status reporting
  • Demonstrate traits that, as developed, provide effective team leadership in a project setting

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8-10 years of experience working in Project Coordination or Consulting Services administrator role
  • Excellent PMO, data, and system background
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills on all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated internal customer service and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work as part of a rapidly evolving team while demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and focus on delivering results
  • Willingness to work extended hours during periods of high demand like quarter-close or year-end; this may include weekends and holidays
