Job summary

Partner with both business and financial leaders to help them forecast, analyze, and interpret bookings, revenue, and expenses using financial and operational metrics to provide data-driven insight and analytics. The Red Hat Finance team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be a member of the Red Hat Business Finance team, supporting the Red Hat Global Services team. You’ll perform monthly financial and operational reporting for both short and long-term forecasting, review strategic business investments, and analyze our global performance. We'll need you to be able to understand complex financial problems and provide explanations and solutions that are sound and clearly communicated. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you'll also need excellent communication skills and the ability to support multiple teams and global regions. Primary job responsibilities

  • Use data, systems, and tools to provide insight into monthly and quarterly short and long-term forecasts for the Global Consulting, Global Training, and Global Finance teams
  • Perform monthly financial and operational reporting
  • Analyze performance using financial and operational KPIs, including, but not limited to, pricing, backlog, margins, delivery capacity, and conversion rates
  • Coordinate with other Global Finance functions to review consolidated short and long-term global financial forecasts
  • Work with various business partners in creating and reviewing annual financial targets
  • Develop understanding of Red Hat’s global business model and the role that the Global Services team plays in enabling its success

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree with a solid understanding of applied accounting and finance concepts; master's degree in business administration is a plus
  • 5+ years of progressive financial experience, including financial planning and analysis; experience supporting a professional services organization or international experience are a plus
  • Demonstrated business insight with the ability to think strategically and analytically
  • Results-oriented and motivated with a sense of personal accountability
  • Good communication and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to interact successfully with senior management
  • Good problem-solving and financial modeling skills in spreadsheets
  • Experience with (SFDC), Hyperion, Oracle, and FinancialForce is a plus
