Job summary

Lead global activities with our key strategic cloud providers. The Red Hat North American Cloud Alliances Sales team is looking for an Alliance Partnership Account Manager to join us in Plano, TX. In this role, you will create business plans that align Red Hat's objectives with those of the cloud providers, which in turn will be integrated with the regional management plans and teams. Your main goals will be to develop joint strategic initiatives with partners, meet or exceed a revenue growth target, integrate and support the sales teams, and create go-to-market programs that support these initiatives. As an Alliance Partnership Account Manager, you’ll need to have excellent leadership skills and sales expertise, as you'll work cross-functionally both internally and externally to ensure projects and sales are successful.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Lead cloud partner relationships by presenting Red Hat's value proposition to the partners, their customers, and our joint partners
  • Build and carry out a business plan with clear goals, objectives, and metrics
  • Provide guidance to and work with Red Hat independent software vendors (ISVs), system integrator (SI) teams, and regional sales teams, as well as our Finance, Legal and Business Affairs, and Operations teams
  • Work with cloud providers to bring projects to completion and use a tactical focus to deliver sales to meet an assigned revenue target
  • Ensure that the overall alliance is in accordance with Red Hat's corporate strategy

Required skills

  • 10 years of experience working in the high-tech industry
  • 5+ years of large direct and indirect global account sales experience
  • Ability to inspire and manage cross-functional virtual teams including sales, presales, product management, and marketing
  • 5+ years of experience in partner or alliance management, focused on growing large, strategic partners
  • Demonstrated ability to form and maintain both partner and internal executive-level relationships
  • Ability to build and manage account and partner plans
  • Recent experience working for or closely with cloud providers and cloud-based software offerings is a plus
