Job summary

The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) team is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will support manual and automated testing of Red Hat's implementation of FinancialForce Pro Services Automation (PSA) and Salesforce.com (SFDC) in support of our Services team.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a global, cross-functional team to develop and test enhancements to the SFDC platform, including FinancialForce PSA, using manual and automated testing techniques and tools
  • Test integration points between Red Hat software, standard and SFDC modules, and FinancialForce PSA
  • Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software
  • Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action
  • Consult with development engineers and product owners in the resolution of problems
  • Work with third-party system integrators (SIs), providing expertise and leadership in development and testing of IT projects

Required skills

  • Demonstrated ability to develop in one or more object-oriented programming languages; experience with Java is a plus
  • Experience using test automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Eclipse, and Maven
  • Experience with software testing and test planning, including UI and UX, API, and external service validation
  • Understanding of software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, and continuous integration (CI) tools like Jenkins
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) concepts; SFDC experience is a big plus
  • Willingness to actively participate in a self-directed team of software developers and architects, business analysts, and product owners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


The following are considered a plus:

 

  • Experience working in an agile enterprise environment
  • Experience developing on cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), OpenShift by Red Hat, or Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with performance testing of web-based applications
  • Experience with Linux, preferably with Red Hat Enterprise Linux RHEL or Fedora
  • Familiarity with the OpenOffice office productivity suite as well as Google Drive
  • Working experience or familiarity with the Oracle E-Business Suite or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) Applications
