Job summary

Manage and develop key channel value-added reseller (VAR) partner and system integrator (SI) technical sales relationships. The Red Hat Channel and Alliance Solutions Architecture team is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join us. In this role, you will develop sales engineer, architect, and technology practice relationships, becoming a trusted advisor and helping inspire and accelerate the adoption of our innovative cloud and container platforms and application development, deployment, and infrastructure solutions. You'll work with these strategic partnerships to generate incremental revenue growth and identify new projects for Red Hat’s solutions, including hybrid cloud and infrastructure management services like IT, business process automation (BPM) and DevOps, and container and cloud Platforms. This role should ideally be based in the greater Atlanta area or the Southeastern U.S.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Demonstrate Red Hat's value proposition, specifically with our cloud, application deployment, container, and management portfolio, to key partner technical sales teams to help identify and create valuable partnerships
  • Develop and deliver technical enablement plans and solutions-oriented technical presentations with partners that are aligned with our North America (NA) go-to-market strategy
  • Conduct workshops and facilitate engineering and presales contacts with the partner ecosystem
  • Encourage and establish Red Hat’s offerings with a solid focus on hybrid cloud, automation, and management technologies as the leading technological solutions
  • Own and meet a revenue quota and perform regular reviews and file reports about the opportunities that your assigned partners are working on
  • Facilitate regular communication between the partners, Red Hat’s business and field sales teams

Required skills

  • 5-7 years of experience in cloud or datacenter infrastructure planning, design, or implementation services
  • Solid knowledge of UNIX and Linux enterprise systems, preferably in Red Hat platform and cloud offerings
  • Presales and sales engineering experience
  • Proven record of selling software technologies
  • Motivated and able to work well within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation in English
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%


The following are considered a plus:

 

  • Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), or CaaS Containers-as-a-Service knowledge and competence is a plus
  • Industry-recognized certifications are a plus
  • Linux or open source product knowledge is a plus
