Job summary

Implement and support the implementation of sales enablement programs to achieve increased sales of Red Hat Training and Certification offerings to Red Hat’s customers through internal Red Hat sales associates and external Red Hat partners. The Red Hat Global Learning Services (GLS) team is looking for an experienced business development and marketing support professional to join us as a Global Learning Program Manager in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will play a key role in engaging with internal sales and channel teams and our partner community to help create and successfully implement innovative sales enablement programs and initiatives. You’ll have an opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of key channel programs. As a Global Learning Program Manager, your success will be heavily dependent on consistent high-quality collaboration and engagement with internal teams across the organization, including Marketing, Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE), partner and alliance management, and sales teams, as well as with key associates in a wide range of partner organizations.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Develop an ongoing sales training and education process and program encompassing live training sessions, product information updates, facilitation of bi-weekly calls, job aids, etc., targeted at both internal Red Hat sales associates and sales associates working for Red Hat channel partners
  • Perform needs assessment and facilitate development of an ongoing plan with a focus on continuous improvement measured through participant feedback, assessment and monitoring or correlation of sales performance, and KPIs
  • Support the updating and populating of a central sales information repository and portal; provide regular communication to GLS team on updates, including a review of content and asset library to keep assets current, relevant, and effective
  • Support GLS participation in existing cross-channel sales information vehicles, including development of new assets and updating of existing assets and information
  • Support participation in key internal and external channel programs as directed by manager, including attendance at key meetings, creation of assets to support program implementation, and communication of programs to relevant internal and external channels as needed
  • Support key sales enablement initiatives as directed by manager, including cross-sell programs and training sales team enablement
  • Collaborate with peers in the Red Hat OPEN and Red Hat University programs to leverage opportunities for promoting broader awareness of Red Hat Training and Certification offerings and to make use of assets and competencies of those teams in support of training sales
  • Work with marketing and other teams to create new rep and channel-facing assets and to repurpose existing assets to support sales teams and channels
  • Support the creation and implementation of ongoing sales feedback mechanisms, including sales representative councils, participation of sales representatives in key projects, surveys, etc.
  • Participate in key sales meetings and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and calls as directed by manager
  • Handle and respond to inbound inquiries and requests from internal sales and channel teams and partners
  • Provide Level 1 support to sales as needed, answering questions regarding GLS courses and offerings
  • Work on other projects as directed by manager

Required skills

  • 5+ years of sales enablement or channel support experience; prior experience working in a support capacity with a multi-channel organization in a high-tech business is a plus
  • Prior experience working with external partners; background in sales is a plus
  • Ability to work without direct supervision with a high degree of self-discipline and self-direction
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities
  • Proven ability to build and nurture relationships across multiple teams and channels
  • Excellent communication skills in writing (with samples of work preferred), editing, presentation creation and delivery, and verbal communication, all with extreme attention to detail and accuracy
  • Prior experience in delivering training to sales teams with the ability to deliver training both in person and live via the internet
  • Occasionally work outside of business hours, early and late, to collaborate with key Red Hat and partner personnel in various international locations
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, including internationally
  • Excellent working and applied knowledge of (SFDC) and all Microsoft Office applications
