Job summary

The Red Hat Public Sector Sales team is looking for a Cloud Solutions Sales Specialist to join us in the United States. In this role, you will deliver on Red Hat's value proposition and guide adoption of our cloud and virtualization technologies within our public sector accounts. You'll enable Red Hat's major enterprise customers to define, develop, and deploy their modern cloud strategies. We'll need you to have experience in federal government or State Local and Education (SLED) accounts, and a background in selling virtualization and cloud solutions.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Work with enterprise sales account teams to build account strategies and guide the overall cloud strategy within a defined set of accounts
  • Guide the customers from adopting virtualization to a private, hybrid, and public cloud using Red Hat solutions
  • Promote Red Hat's portfolio through proofs of concepts and pilots
  • Create long-term relationships with senior IT and business executives within key accounts that result in customer becoming a public reference
  • Ensure Red Hat's cloud solutions are used in production environment and become the first choice for our most strategic customers

Required skills

  • Experience selling complex customer solutions in a rapidly evolving technology environment
  • 8+ years of solutions sales experience, with 4+ years specifically focused on enterprise virtualization
  • Record of working with customers to deliver solutions meeting their business needs
  • Broad technical experience with enterprise Cloud Infrastructure Technologies (CTI) like Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Ansible by Red Hat, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix XenServer, etc.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to C-level executives at large firms
  • Ability to focus on selling specific solutions in an environment with multiple products and services
  • Ability to work with global, cross-functional teams to achieve success on behalf of customers
