    Job summary

    The Red Hat Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) team is looking for a Technical Training Content Developer to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you’ll design and develop training content on troubleshooting Red Hat enterprise solutions for associates and support partners. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and technical support associates, and partner with the Training Program Manager to develop course content, prepare lesson plans, and ensure that materials are applicable and reflective of current product features. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and time management skills are key to your success.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Develop technical training materials for technical audiences that focus on troubleshooting Red Hat solutions, support workflow, and tools
    • Create lab-based training using a virtual lab environment
    • Design training materials and assessments in adherence to brand standards
    • Consult with various teams within the CEE organization on training best practices, learning objectives, and general training strategies
    • Work with other content developers to develop improved developer processes, tooling, and quality assurance (QA) testing as needed
    • Demonstrate high levels of motivation and the eagerness and flexibility to learn new technologies
    • Design training materials and assessments in adherence to brand standards

    Required skills

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, technical communications, or something closely related
    • Knowledge and working experience with Red Hat technologies like Red Hat OpenStack, Red Hat Gluster Storage, Red Hat Ceph Storage, and Ansible by Red Hat
    • Ability to design, create, and organize training content into traditional classroom and eLearning modalities
    • Experience working with learning management systems and virtual lab environments; familiarity with SCORM and Git is a plus
    • Extensive knowledge of Red Hat's portfolio and open source software
    • Ability to learn new tools and processes quickly with little guidance or documentation
    • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills and cross-functional relationship building skills
    • Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL); Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) is preferred
