    Job summary

    Support Red Hat's strategy by enabling customers to define, develop, and deploy their modern agile application strategies. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an OpenShift Container Platform Sales Specialist focused on the telco vertical to join us in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for building strategic relationships with executives and key business leaders. You’ll promote our portfolio of container-native solutions like Kubernetes, Docker, or Open Container Initiative (OCI), DevOps pipeline, development frameworks, and microservices that work across multi-cloud environments. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Work with the enterprise sales teams to plan the overall container and multi-cloud strategy within a set of defined accounts
    • Gain the trust of senior IT and business executives within key accounts and create long-term partnerships
    • Lead a consultative sales cycle based on the selling of solutions, which will include the whole Red Hat’s portfolio, rather than any specific product

    Required skills

    • 8+ years of experience in a solutions sales role
    • 4+ years of experience focused on enterprise middleware like Red Hat JBoss Middleware, IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, MuleSoft, TIBCO, and Apigee
    • Background in consultative customer engagement with an application development provider
    • Broad technical experience with enterprise application development technologies
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to executives at large firms
    • Ability to sell solutions in a multi-product environment
    • Proven ability to work with global cross-functional teams and achieve success for customers
    • Balance of strategic and tactical skills
    • Ability to work well in a matrixed selling environment
    • Master's degree or equivalent is a plus
