    Job summary

    Help us increase Red Hat Training brand awareness, encourage peer to peer learning and promote customer loyalty. The Red Hat Training and Certification team is looking for a highly motivated Learning Community Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you’ll build a Red Hat Learning Community that will be a space that will facilitate peer-to-peer learning, allow the ability to create user generated content, digest technical content in the form of videos, blog posts, and forum discussions. You will be part of a high-performing, globally distributed team working cross-functionally, collaborating with Marketing, Customer Experience, Web, Social Media, and a variety of teams within Red Hat Training to ensure successful implementation and delivery of the Learning Community to current and prospective training users. Once the Red Hat Community is live in production, you will be responsible for overall program management, community integrations, governance, reporting, coordination across multiple teams, and intersecting projects as well as guiding the strategic vision and future planning for the Community.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Implement and grow a premium user experience for the Red Hat Learning Community
    • Implement and manage the gamification aspects of the community
    • Manage the recruitment, recording, and publication of Expert Seminars
    • Create and implement learning challenges across the community
    • Coordinate and align with multiple Red Hat teams including Marketing, Brand, and other digital property owners
    • Develop strategic community plans that increase engagement across the platform as well as encourage new membership
    • Analyze community participation and generate regular reports for stakeholders
    • Work with Training leadership directly to ensure customer ideas are included in product roadmaps
    • Develop, coordinate, and oversee a team of forum moderators to ensure community success in regards to community management, content curation, and forum moderation
    • Establish and own Red Hat Community Governance process to align key stakeholders on business objectives and key project deliverables
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends with the latest learning and community development technologies and trends and propose strategies for this community
    • Coordinate with product manager over Red Hat Learning Subscription to establish and maintain integration touchpoints

    Required skills

    • Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience in marketing-related role
    • Demonstrated experience in managing online communities
    • Proven experience as a program manager
    • Thorough understanding of program management techniques and methods
    • Solid verbal, written, online, and in-person communication skills
    • Collaboration skills to facilitate partnerships with various groups with a can-do attitude
    • Organized and process-oriented
    • Knowledge of applying badging and gamification principles to guide human behavior
    • Proven track record for staying current on emerging online tools, technologies, and trends within social media and other marketing avenues
    • Experience with one or more major online communities (Lithium, Salesforce, Jive)
    • Solid familiarity with Red Hat solutions
    • Understanding of how to successfully deliver digital learning in all forms to IT professionals

    The following will be considered a plus:

    • Deep knowledge of various learning content asset types that enable learners like online courses, video content, working labs, digital documentation, assessments, eBook course materials
    • Experience with the different models for organizing and delivering digital content like learning paths, channels, missions, courses
