    Job summary

    Take up this great opportunity to work with internal and external Red Hat partners to improve business and create solutions that serve both us and our customers. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Incremental Sales Account Representative to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you'll be responsible for uncovering new sales opportunities within an assigned territory while working closely with Red Hat's renewals partner. You'll identify, nurture, and close opportunities with both new and existing customers, manage forecasts on a quarterly basis, and track customer data. As an Incremental Sales Account Representative, you will have access to training and certification programs to help you maintain expert knowledge and proficiency in our offerings and industry trends.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Sell Red Hat's comprehensive enterprise solutions
    • Manage forecasts, close deals, and track customer data using company-standard customer relationship management (CRM) tools
    • Be accountable for growing existing business relationships and acquiring new business
    • Meet assigned sales quotas, both on your own and as part of a team

    Required skills

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 2+ years of successful quota-carrying sales experience
    • 2+ years of solutions sales experience in software or high-tech offerings or services
    • Experience using CRM tools like Salesforce.com (SFDC)
    • Knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Microsoft Windows, virtualization, storage, and middleware solutions
    • Motivated with the ability to uncover new customers and opportunities; team-focused

    The following are considered a plus:

    • Familiarity with open source industry principles
    • Existing channel partner relationships
    • Understanding of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and independent software vendor (ISV) relationships
