    Job summary

    The Red Hat North America Telco team is looking for a Senior OpenShift Solutions Architect to join us. In this role, you’ll cover the top certified sales professionals (CSP), multiple systems operators (MSO), and network equipment providers (NEP) in North America. You will need to have expertise in Container technology, virtualization technology, and management and orchestration technology. You’ll help our team create solutions and advocate compelling recommendations to Red Hat’s Telco customers, and our customers invest in the right container solutions that will give them maximum flexibility with their development and operational environments. We’ll need you to be the innovative thinker at key events and act as an OpenShift expert. To achieve this, you’ll need deep technical expertise, passion for open source, a thorough understanding of business processes, together with the ability to identify and create business solutions at the enterprise level. As a Senior OpenShift Solutions Architect, you will specialize in Red Hat container technologies, architectures, and solutions and public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. This position can be located anywhere in the US near a major airport.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Present OpenShift by Red Hat technology and solutions to customers and partners, addressing complex requirements, designing value-driven architectures, and explaining the value of these solutions to guide sales
    • Architect compelling solutions which will directly result in the closing of OpenShift sales while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
    • Assist in the development of OpenShift sales strategies to help ensure Red Hat's objectives are met
    • Create and conduct demonstrations of OpenShift by Red Hat solutions, proofs of concepts, benchmarks, and other deliverables as appropriate
    • Gain deep understanding of customer business and IT environments and be the advocate for customer priorities with the BU
    • Provide innovative thinking at key industry events for container technology and its top Telco use cases including network functions virtualization (NFV) in both core and edge operational workloads

    Required skills

    • Extensive knowledge of enterprise container architectures and solutions
    • Knowledge of OpenShift by Red Hat and competitive solutions, as well as Linux, and deploying and running container solutions in private, public, and hybrid clouds
    • 5+ years of experience with Linux in the areas of system administration and integration
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Willingness to travel up to 75%
    • Extensive knowledge and experience with Kubernetes and Docker
    • 5+ years of experience as a sales engineer

    The following will be considered a plus:

    • Practical experience with OpenShift by Red Hat
    • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) and Windows as a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
    • Telco and mobile network experience or knowledge
