    Job summary

    The Red Hat Sales Enablement and Development (SE+D) team is looking for a Regional Advocate to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will work directly with the sales teams toward building, sustaining, and measuring mastery of specific sales skills, behaviors, and best practices in pursuit of improved regional implementation of global sales objectives and imperatives. You’ll report to the manager of Sales Enablement Regional Advocates. You will be a key partner to Red Hat’s North America (NA) Commercial and NA Public Sector Sales teams responsible for delivering programs that improve sales competence, sales confidence, and executive level selling skills through implementation of consultative selling practices. We’ll need you to be responsible for fielding inbound requests from sales professionals, sales leaders, and sales support teams on the topics of sales enablement, development, and talent management.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Support and carry out the global talent management strategy for regional sales teams
    • Uncover gaps in current programs, processes, and skills across your assigned Red Hat sales team and present findings back to Sales and People team leadership and internal partners
    • Be responsible for regionalization and ultimate delivery of existing sales enablement programs and understand varying maturity of sales regions to position the right programs to the right audiences
    • Maintain close alignment to all managers, geo sales leadership to front-line sales managers, to understand their goals and challenges, and gather feedback to share back with greater SE+D team
    • Assess performance of sales teams with sales leaders and members of the People team to prioritize enablement strategies and tactics and delivery to the field
    • Partner with local sales professionals and first-line managers to deliver development programs and processes that meet the requirements to all Red Hat sales and sales support functions
    • Represent sales in the development of large sales-focused events (Sales Kick-offs, partner events, large sales management meetings, etc.)
    • Continually work on evolving global enablement programs based on feedback from sales regions; carry out role-based training sessions when required
    • Work directly with sales curriculum architects and Red Hat University to regionalize sales on-boarding programs, sales management programs, and ongoing sales education
    • Design and implement metrics to measure program impact, effectiveness, appropriateness, and utility
    • Measure and report the effectiveness of sales enablement investments in region
    • Facilitate ongoing sales enablement program delivery via sales enablement team, other internal corporate resources, and select outside experts as needed
    • Maintain a positive can-do attitude and supporting the Red Hat culture

    Required skills

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Solid verbal, written, and presentation skills
    • 2+ years of sales, sales operations, or business event planning experience, or equivalent
    • Experience in behavioral science, with the ability to communicate effectively from a behavioral science perspective
    • Ability to demonstrate understanding of complex technical acquisition and sales strategy implementation
    • Ability to take high-level sales strategies and develop structured plans, actions, and metrics to measure during implementation
    • Solid program management skills to be able to manage disparate enablement programs and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Results-oriented and passionate about exceeding sales targets by focusing on development of a specific set of sales skills
    • Familiarity with sales processes and sales implementation
    • Ability to travel up to 50% within United States and Canada
    • Event planning experience is a plus
