    Job summary

    The Red Hat Emerging Cloud Services team within the Service Delivery organization is looking for a Manager to join us in San Francisco, CA. In this role, you'll join a team that is responsible for taking a new cloud services idea from concept to delivery. The goal of the team is to always be working on the "what's next" for the service delivery team, and when we have a stable offering, we pass the project on to next team and start on something new. You should like to build and shape things. You'll help us working on the delivery of Red Hat OpenShift on Azure as a managed service. We are growing quickly and we need to round out the management group to keep things moving well.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Be a sounding board for technical decisions that the architect(s) and developers need to make
    • Help guide the technical direction and Scrum activities of the team
    • Identify areas of concern for project delivery and make sure those are communicated
    • Provide reasonable time estimates for new projects
    • Develop career plans for your direct reports and have regular 1:1 meetings with them

    Required skills

    • Both technical and managerial experience, preferably in DevOps, service reliability engineerin (SRE), or development organizations
    • Knowledge of cloud providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Micorosft Azure, GPC
    • Ability to cultivate a healthy team dynamic
    • Willingness to occasionally travel up to 10%
