    Job summary

    The Red Hat Management and Automation Marketing team is looking for a Principal Product Marketing Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will work closely with technical marketing, product management, engineering, and solutions design teams and our technical field community (solutions architects, consultants, etc.). You’ll craft, build, and carry out the technical and business-level messaging, go-to-market, and sales enablement plans for your assigned offerings.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Collaborate with product management teams to understand and prioritize feature and solutions definition; ensure that marketing plans align with market directions and support the roadmap and releases of our offerings
    • Lead all presales and post-sales enablement efforts for your assigned offerings, including the building of content and related delivery calendar, working with regional sales teams to establish training priorities, and delivering or codelivering the materials
    • Serve as a Red Hat management and automation offerings expert, ensuring comprehensive understanding of the market’s current state through research and awareness of customer needs and competitive offerings
    • Develop messaging around customer challenges, key offering and solutions benefits, and competitive advantages; create messaging guides, web content, and related internal and external marketing collateral across presentations, thought leadership papers, demonstration assets, and more
    • Work with subject matter experts to define requirements for effective marketing assets and create the content, including whitepapers, case studies, solutions briefs, web content, and sales kits
    • Coordinate with various marketing teams including Field Marketing, Corporate Marketing, and Partner Marketing teams to ensure successful and targeted delivery of various marketing activities
    • Support customer meetings and industry event messaging, theme, and overall presence, sometimes onsite

    Required skills

    • 8-12 years of related experience in IT solutions marketing and sales enablement, preferably within the areas of cloud management, automation, systems management, or IT operational analytics
    • Outstanding messaging background; ability to develop compelling persona-based technical and business-level messaging at the level of both individual offerings and the whole portfolio
    • Record of success in a fast-moving, technical environment, including the ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly
    • Ability to analyze, interpret, and take actions on the basis of market data and business reports on your own
    • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills with the ability to explain complex technology concepts via simple and intuitive communications
