    Job summary

    Red Hat’s Global Accounting team is looking for a flexible Senior Business Analyst to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will serves as a trusted advisor to the order-to-cash global process owner, process analysts, and global accounting business leaders. You’ll provide data-driven insights that guide actions, prioritization, and decisions to optimize business outcomes and streamline operations. You’ll need to demonstrate finesse in partnering cross-functionally and globally, especially with the Information Technology (IT) team, to secure desired outcomes. As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll need to be highly analytical, results-driven, and motivated and enjoy staying up to date on emerging technological capabilities, particularly in automation, and how they can be applied.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Diagnose, streamline, design, develop, and maintain documentation for key performance indicators, metrics, reports, scorecards, and dashboards; appropriately automate delivery
    • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to the global process team and business leaders
    • Enable effective business reviews and ongoing diagnosis at all levels through visually consumable, real-time analytics
    • Govern and ensure data quality
    • Identify and understand the interaction between data and operational processes  to provide insights for improvements and solutions to complex problems
    • Assess and prioritize customer needs and guide requirements in line with business strategy and goals
    • Regularly assess and appropriately adopt and develop proficiency in relevant new technologies and capabilities to meet emerging business needs
    • Apply robotic process automation, machine learning (ML), data mining, and statistical techniques and algorithms in creating new, scalable solutions for business problems through data analysis
    • Develop analytical and data tools that enable “self-service” for business users (e.g., for generating ad hoc reports)
    • Collaboratively manage through complexities across diverse functions and geographies
    • Ensure accurate and complete capture and translation of business needs into effective solutions
    • Support projects and ad hoc business needs

    Required skills

    • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience or master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in a relevant discipline
    • Fluency in lead-to-cash operations and solid cross-functional experience
    • Solid end-to-end systems thinker, planner, and integrator
    • Highly analytical problem-solver that can right-size effort to business need
    • Expertise in database management, extracting and handling large data sets from multiple sources, conducting analysis, and building user-friendly reports, scorecards, and dashboards
    • Proficiency in G Suite, Oracle, BusinessObjects (BOBJ), Salesforce.com (SFDC), data visualization tools (Tableau, SAS VA, or Qlik), and B2B and process automation technologies
    • Working knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI), ML, and robotic process automation
    • Solid programming and documentation skills
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, facilitation, and consulting skills
    • Ability to learn quickly and appropriately apply new technologies and skills
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines across global time zones and for extended hours during periods of high demand
