    Job summary

    Help define and carry out our enablement strategy. Red Hat's Global Partner and Technical Enablement (GPTE) team is looking for an experienced professional with a consultant background and experience to join us as a Senior Enablement Strategist in Tysons Corner, VA. In this role, you will help others be excellent in their roles. You’ll primarily focus on requirements gathering, dealing with enablement-related programs and projects for the global Consulting team. You’ll need to be able to understand the practical needs and perspective of delivery Consultants and balance that with the technical needs of the role. You’ll help Red Hat's continued success by ensuring that our Consultants delivering services to customers are the best in the business. As a Senior Enablement Strategist, you will engage with key global consulting services leaders in order to understand their enablement requirements and priorities so that you can help define, plan, and carry out end-to-end enablement strategies. You’ll need to have a leadership and “tackle-any-problem” attitude. The role is cross-portfolio, but background and familiarity with at least some of Red Hat’s portfolio and direction will be favored. It can be located anywhere, although preference will be given to candidates in North America. Willingness to consistently work with colleagues in the U.S. EST time zone is required.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Understand, collaborate on, define, and carry out the enablement strategy of the offerings from Red Hat's expanding portfolio; familiarity with the Red Hat portfolio, especially cloud or platform portfolios, is a plus
    • Work with the leadership to plan and carry out a successful strategy to meet the enablement needs in the near and long-term views
    • Maintain professional standards and connect the needs of the technology to the business needs of stakeholders
    • Communicate regularly and effectively with the global Consulting leadership (in the internal and partner communities) and other associated stakeholders
    • Work with these stakeholders to identify and document priorities for their teams, based on product or initiative roadmaps and business needs
    • Implement quarterly strategic objectives and deliver measurable results for the global Consulting community based on agreed-upon prioritization
    • Define, design, and maintain learning paths and technical competencies to help shape enablement content
    • Work with subject matter experts, content developers, and other stakeholders to continuously review and assess that enablement content is meeting the needs
    • Determine processes and approaches for continuously enhancing and expanding high-quality content for global learners
    • Work with teams to ensure that consultants are provided with adequate modality options to consume content

    Required skills

    • 5 years of consultant experience within the IT infrastructure space, preferably with an enterprise software background
    • Strategic thinker who can take broad visions and concepts and develop structured plans, actions, and measurable metrics and then carry out these plans reliably and efficiently
    • Understanding of at least a portion of Red Hat’s portfolio of offerings and related contemporary technical concepts like containers, microservices, hybrid cloud, DevOps, internet of things (IoT), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), etc.
    • Excellent ability to handle multiple priorities, organization skills, written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, analytical ability, and business judgment
    • Detail-oriented and able to work in a very fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrable ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization
    • Bachelorʼs degree; advanced degree is a plus
    • Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%
