    Job summary

    The Red Hat People team is looking for a Global Mobility Specialist to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will advise and consult Red Hat People team members, people managers, and associates on international assignments, immigration, and relocation in support of Red Hat’s talent strategy. You will contribute to the design of global, regional, and country specific global mobility programs to deliver an outstanding relocation experience for Red Hat new hires and associates. You will have the opportunity to partner on the implementation and management of global HR programs, policies, and procedures. As a Global Mobility Specialist, you will support senior leaders and internal People team in ensuring successful international assignments. We’ll need you to have good people consulting skills and deep insight into the dynamics of compensation strategies, benefits strategies, HR compliance requirements, collaboration, negotiation, and persuasive communication.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Contribute to the design of the global, regional, and country-specific mobility strategy that is consistent with Red Hat’s Total Rewards philosophy and enables Red Hat’s talent strategy
    • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking review for mobility and relocation program components, including competitive market data and cost analysis for implementation
    • Provide high-quality consultation pertaining to mobility-related issues like the appropriateness of an assignment or transfer, cost considerations, immigration and relocation requirements, and the impact to the employee or their family
    • Manage all communications with program participants and other stakeholders, and ensure documentation is kept up-to-date
    • Oversee immigration services to ensure compliance with local immigration law and timely filing of immigration applications to meet deadlines
    • Collaborate with local People team representatives and provide subject-matter guidance to People team, associates, and management on a variety of mobility topics

    Required skills

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
    • 5-7 years of experience in the development, management, and administration of mobility programs or HR programs
    • Specific experience with the strategy, design, compliance, and administration of expatriate programs, relocation policies and processes, immigration requirements and processes, payroll, and equity and tax processes related to mobility
    • Track record of delivering results and operating as an internal consultant across all levels of management
    • Demonstrated experience with mobility and rewards strategy, organizational capability, change management, business partnering, and influencing stakeholders
    • Confident, results-driven, and strategic, with a consultative orientation
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; organizational skills and the ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner
    • Good interpersonal skills; ability to forge close relationships, shape decisions, and be sought out for your opinions and counsel
    • Customer-focused, with the ability to effectively and quickly build relationships and establish trust, respect, competence, and confidence in fast-paced environment
    • Ability to multi-task and track critical deadlines
    • Ability to research, assess facts, and determine impact to business
