    Job summary

    Red Hat's Global Partners and Alliances team is looking for an enthusiastic, senior-level technologist with 10+ years of experience in outcome-focused technical business development roles and solid expertise in Red Hat cloud, container, and automation solutions to join us as a Senior Partner solutions Architect in Sunnyvale, CA. In this role, you will work to improve Red Hat's technical footprint with DXC, one of our top strategic global system integrator (GSI) partners. You’ll focus on evangelizing and developing partner services offerings for private and public cloud, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Ansible Automation, application development, management strategies, and other areas incorporating Red Hat's emerging technologies. As a Senior Partner Solutions Architect, you will work closely with the global partner director, regional partner managers, and Red Hat’s Business team’s technical associates. You’ll be the catalyst engaging the partner to explore and create possibilities, solve business problems, guide scalable business outcomes, and establish strategic relationships with key partner technology leaders and decision-makers. You’ll help the Red Hat’s partner and our mutual customers invest wisely in a platform and solutions that will give them maximum flexibility for the future through platform, automation, management, and development solutions. You’ll need to have a balance of serious technical expertise, passion for open source, and of deep understanding of business processes and IT problems faced at the enterprise level.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the global partner director, regional partner managers, and product team’s solutions architecture teams to develop technical solutions strategy from the Red Hat cloud, management, and application development portfolios
    • Use deep knowledge of Red Hat’s offerings to provide technical expertise to partner leadership and customers through Red Hat presentations and demonstrations of our solutions and roadmaps; prepare detailed specifications of our offerings to map with partner offerings
    • Discover and analyze partner and customer business and technical problems; apply appropriate Red Hat's solutions to address customer needs and deliver best case outcomes
    • Provide presales technical support for the development and implementation of complex services and solutions offerings
    • Engage on must-win sales opportunities aligned to portfolio and align with Red Hat’s technical account managers and enablement teams to ensure success

    Required skills

    • 10 years of experience in sales engineering, consulting, IT architecture, or equivalent supporting enterprise partners or accounts
    • Willingness to travel globally up to 50%
    • Adept at leading change and achieving meaningful outcomes at the executive level; evangelizing skills to both technical and business executives are a plus
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills; record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels
    • Ability to interpret partner and customer business problems and technical issues and effectively explain how Red Hat IT solutions align with their requirements
    • Knowledge of enterprise solutions and architectures like cloud, big data, virtualization, storage, RDBMS and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software from Oracle or SAP, clustering, and high availability
    • Ability to identify, qualify, and orchestrate the appropriate resources to strategic opportunities to address partner customer needs
    • Assist with developing partner strategies, architectures, blueprints, roadmaps, and transformation plans to achieve future success


    The following are considered a plus:

     

    • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certifications
    • Experience working with managed service providers, system integrators (SIs), and cloud service providers regarding service offering technologies and development
    • Experience with digital transformation (technology, operations, finance, and organization)
