    Job summary

    The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for a working and energetic Program Marketing Manager to join its global account based marketing initiative in McLean, VA. In this role, you’ll foster deeper partnerships with strategic account customers that leads to a preference for Red Hat infrastructure, cloud, and middleware solutions. As a member of the Public Sector Field Marketing team, you'll plan and carry out targeted marketing activities at the industry and customer account level, providing insights for decision-maker engagement while maximizing the efficiency of the sales and marketing process.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain comprehensive account profiles, target personas, and oversee a database of named contacts to align marketing and sales in defining the target audience required to achieve account goals
    • Work with sales to identify gaps in key personas and contact information within strategic accounts; develop data and insight strategy to add key personas and contacts within these accounts
    • Collaborate with the global Account Based Marketing program team, to create and gain consensus for cross portfolio go to market plans and marketing plays in alignment with strategic product mandates and sales directives
    • Manage and promote an editorial calendar of thought leadership content and new marketing assets that align with the customer journey, sales buying stages, and support the go to market plan
    • Deploy ready-to-implement marketing tactics and provide sales enablement on an account and industry basis utilizing various channels including digital, events, and social media
    • Analyze metrics and reports to determine effectiveness of program activities and integrated cloud thought leadership content consumption
    • Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness through better audience segmentation, marketing techniques, and processes

    Required skills

    • Deep experience with building and implementing account-based marketing programs
    • Experience with federal marketing; experience marketing to the Department of Defense is a plus
    • Clear understanding of emerging technologies with the capability to skillfully lead business-oriented conversations with cross portfolio product marketing teams
    • Solid writing and presentation skills to translate technical content into impactful go to market materials
    • Successful direct and digital marketing campaign and social media coordination experience
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve practical results working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams
