    Job summary

    The Red Hat Global Verticals Finance team is looking for a bright Senior Financial Analyst to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you’ll support of the Global Strategic Verticals team, with the opportunity and expectation to act as a global leader. The strategic verticals cover various industry-based verticals like Telco, Financials Services, Energy, Healthcare, etc. Your primary focus will be reporting and analysis, forecasting, supporting investment planning, and operational streamlining all in support of global decision making. There will be frequent interaction with key leadership groups in the finance, operations, sales, marketing, finance, product, and IT organizations from across the globe. You will have the opportunity to sharpen quantitative analysis skills and to develop well rounded business savvy through working with seasoned senior leadership on impactful and far-reaching projects. Your success depends on your ability to collaborate with and influence your stakeholders to take action on intelligence and recommendations that you provide in this role.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Provide analytical support and consultation for key Global or regional sales leadership teams
    • Develop reports and metrics to measure success of global sales initiatives
    • Provide global leadership across diverse functional areas like Forecasting, Analytics, Planning, and other business functions
    • Work closely with shared services analysis team in India to lead net new analysis requirements and facilitate development of reporting and insights
    • Streamline current reporting processes around weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reporting and forecasting
    • Design and manage reports, analysis, forecasts and dashboards in Salesforce

    Required skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a quantitative field; MBA preferred
    • Solid relationship management skills
    • 3-5 years of related professional experience
    • Solid spreadsheet skills with demonstrated experience managing large data sets and performing analysis
    • Previous experience in programming, scripting, or writing database SQL code
    • Good understanding of Salesforce.com and reporting in Salesforce.com
    • Experience with analytical tools, i.e. Qlikview, R, SAS Visual Analytics
    • Experience with using at least one data mining tool like Business Objects or SAS
    • Ready to consistently work extended hours during periods of high demand – quarter/year end (may include weekends)
    • Coachable, motivate, detail-oriented team player who is focused  and diligent on leading and delivering results
    • Prior experience in industry market trend analysis is a plus
