    Job summary

    The Red Hat Business Unit Operations team is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join us in Westford, MA. In this role, you will report to the Core Products and Cloud Services Business Group organization and work with North American (NA) Sales team in matrixed fashion. You will make the North American sales priorities and challenges visible to the Core Products and Cloud Services Business Group, including providing high-level sales support for successful closing of customer deals, assisting in maintaining customer relationships through facilitation of technology questions or requests, and collecting sales input on requested tools, program offerings and customer requirements. Finally you will be responsible for working with sales organization on multiyear and annual business planning to maximize the impact on sales growth, while providing key metrics to plan.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Provide sales support in positioning, deal structuring, and business unit (BU) approval management  
    • Lead business group strategies in the field by influencing sales business plans and focus areas
    • Guide key business unit initiatives in collaboration with NA sales and marketing teams
    • Assess and support product-level field business plans in the region
    • Facilitate and provide geo-level insights on pipeline and business performance
    • Communicate customer and sales requirements to relevant business unit stakeholders
    • Collect and report market, competitive, and sales motion insights
    • Provide insight on emerging use cases and workloads
    • Support key external marketing events as a speaker or booth duty
    • Identify and socialize key strategic product wins in region and create winning mindset in the field

    Required skills

    • Undergraduate degree with a technical background; MBA is preferred
    • Demonstrate business insights
    • Ability to build strong relationships with account managers, sales leadership, and sales engineering
    • Demonstrated understanding of what it takes to motivate sales organization to grow revenue
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
