    Job summary

    Join the fastest growing open source company in the world. The North American Red Hat Training team is looking for a Sales Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will manage a team of Training Sales Specialists who are responsible for training bookings, revenue, and subscription consumption for their respective territory and the overall region. You'll train, develop, evaluate, and coach team members in their ability to interact with potential customers over email and phone and gain understanding of the business solutions that customers want. As a Sales Manager, you'll also establish goals and objectives for the team, assigning tasks and reviewing work frequently. The role also manages our on-shore customer service team.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Reach targeted sales goals and performance levels by effectively guiding your team
    • Motivate sales associates to promote Red Hat Training offerings and solutions while ensuring expected metrics are achieved
    • Plan sales programs to achieve key business objectives
    • Analyze various sales reports to forecast sales and establish quotas
    • Define and implement processes and systems to effectively manage the team's performance
    • Ensure the highest level of service to our customers

    Required skills

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 5+ years of sales experience
    • 2+ years of sales management experience
    • Solid written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience managing a team with responsibility for results, cost, methods, and staffing
    • Demonstrated success in consistently managing a sales team to achieve goals
    • Ability to frequently interact with cross-functional teams, customers, and peer managers
    • Ability to translate business objectives into clear deliverables and lay out work in a well-planned and organized manner
    • Ability to set stretch objectives and distribute the workload appropriately
    • Experience training and coaching representatives on prospecting, lead process, and pipeline creation
    • Experience in the IT services marketplace is preferred
