    Job summary

    The Red Hat Cloud Success team is looking for a Cloud Success Architect with an eye for the big picture and a commitment to coordinating with technical leaders from customers and partners throughout the Southeastern United States. In this role, you will become an expert in cloud and DevOps technologies and a trusted partner, adviser, and advocate for key enterprise customers and strategic partners. You’ll help the global and diverse Cloud Success team go well beyond break-fix and focus on engaging with customers and partners early during the adoption life cycle to ensure a positive experience and successful adoption of our offerings. Preferred work locations are the Red Hat offices in Raleigh, NC or Atlanta, GA, but well-qualified, home-based candidates will also be considered for a remote position. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Engage with Red Hat's field teams, customers, and partners to ensure a positive cloud technology onboarding experience resulting in long-term enterprise success
    • Help customers and partners define and achieve their adoption success criteria by providing engaged recommendations and advice
    • Ensure high-level of customer satisfaction with each qualified engagement through the complete adoption life cycle of our offerings
    • Articulate how specific Red Hat’s cloud offerings and their roadmaps align to customer and partner use cases
    • Advocate for innovation and early adoption of cloud technologies
    • Capture capabilities of Red Hat’s offerings and identify gaps as related to customer use cases through a closed loop process for each step of engagement life cycle
    • Build C-level relationships with Red Hat's strategic customers and partners that result in deeper loyalty and smoother adoption experience, attaining the trusted partner status
    • Expand Red Hat's impact on key industry thought leaders by helping to develop, articulate, and refine our overall strategy, technology vision, and case examples of customer impact
    • Engage with Red Hat's product engineering teams to help develop solutions patterns based on customer engagements as well as personal experience that guide platform adoption
    • Establish and maintain parity with the Red Hat cloud technologies strategy
    • Contribute internally to the Red Hat  team, share knowledge and best practices with team members, contribute to internal projects and initiatives, and serve as a subject matter expert and mentor for specific technical or process areas
    • Travel, as necessary, to visit customers, partners, conferences, and other events

    Required skills

    • Experience in a support, development, engineering, IT, or quality assurance (QA) organization, preferably within an enterprise environment   
    • Experience working in DevOps environments
    • Practical experience deploying applications in cloud environments
    • Expertise with technologies like OpenShift by Red Hat, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), application container platforms, Kubernetes, cloud management (like Red Hat CloudForms), or Ansible by Red Hat automation
    • Experience developing containerized applications
    • Good comprehension of continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) concepts
    • Practical experience with Linux or UNIX systems
    • Competent comprehension of enterprise architecture and strategic business drivers
    • Familiarity with source code management tools like Git and SVN
    • Experience in a technical leadership or mentorship role
    • Direct experience with a variety of hardware vendors
    • Ability to manage multiple issues and projects
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex information to customers both clearly and concisely
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology-related discipline; computer science or engineering is a plus
