    Job summary

    Help discover and analyze customer business and technical needs. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Associate Solutions Architect to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will work with the State and Local Government and Education (SLED) Field Solutions Architect team. You'll also collaborate with the Sales and technical delivery teams to help them invest in the right solutions from across the Red Hat's portfolio. As an Associate Solutions Architect, you'll need to achieve a balance of technical expertise, passion for open source, and of working understanding of business processes and IT problems faced at the enterprise level. Using your solid communication and people skills, you'll be a key part of our customers' overall presales experience with Red Hat.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Support enterprise solutions architects to help manage technical presales requirements
    • Provide presales technical support for the development and implementation of complex offerings and solutions
    • Use your considerable knowledge of solutions and technical expertise to prepare detailed specifications for our offerings, deliver presentations, and demonstrate our solutions to sales associates and customers
    • Contribute to RFI and RFP opportunities
    • Resolve problems, manage tickets, and help with the formal resolution process
    • Communicate value, progress, and status of sales opportunities to all stakeholders; share knowledge and findings to allow team members to learn from your successes and mistakes

    Required skills

    • Experience in sales engineering, consulting, IT architecture, or equivalent supporting role in enterprise accounts
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills; passion for technology and open source
    • Ability to understand customer business problems and technical issues and effectively explain how a solution will meet their needs or requirements
    • Knowledge of enterprise solutions and architectures, including technical skills regarding technologies like Linux, virtualization, cloud solutions, storage, middleware, or mobility
