    Job summary

    The Red Hat Cloud Infrastructure Business Unit is looking for a Senior Manager to lead our OpenShift container and Kubernetes product marketing team in San Francisco, CA. In this role you'll help our company prioritize, focus and lead the right go-to-market efforts to expand Red Hat's leadership position in the container platforms category. You'll develop a deep understanding of our customers, use cases and market trends to define our go-to-market strategy, positioning and marketing content to guide net new customer acquisition and bookings growth. You'll lead a team of product marketing managers and responsible for the successful execution of all aspects of outbound marketing efforts and partner closely with your counterparts in the product teams, field, and corporate functions.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Develop messaging and positioning for the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform solutions
    • Define market segmentation and develop the right marketing strategy that maps to target buyer, business problems, and IT initiatives aligned with the business opportunity
    • Create effective marketing assets and content, including whitepapers, presentations, case studies, solution briefs, web content, data sheets, and sales kits in support of our marketing campaigns and demand gen efforts
    • Own and guide product launch strategy with a cross-functional team; develop objectives and success metrics for new product introduction
    • Define sales enablement strategy for our sellers in inside, field, technical and partner-facing roles; develop and deliver sales enablement content and playbooks
    • Coordinate with strategic partners where appropriate to align messaging and solutions; create materials that can be used by all relevant partners for their marketing efforts
    • Establish business value of our offering and develop effective content to help our field and customers make the business case
    • Gather competitive intelligence on our key competitors, develop differentiation materials for the field and for external consumption
    • Lead industry analyst and media briefings

    Required skills

    • 10+ years of product marketing experience with a solid background in container, Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies
    • Demonstrated track record as respected people manager and team lead
    • Knowledge of the infrastructure, application development, and cloud markets, including key players, market trends, key industry analysts, and technology direction
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, marketing, business, economics, or related area; MBA is a plus
    • Demonstrated track record in building, getting buy-in and implementing marketing plans, staying focused and "getting it done" in a fast-moving, technical environment
    • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills with the ability to explain and translate complex technology concepts into simple and intuitive communications
    • Experience working effectively in an influence-driven, cross-functional environment
    • Ability to be meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects at once while working in a highly complex environment
    • Experience with social media and digital marketing
    • Ability to work in an influence-driven, cross-functional environment
