    Job summary

    The Red Hat Global Treasury team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will support the Treasury team by evaluating and managing the foreign exchange risk to Red Hat. You'll work with other teams within the organization to develop and implement processes to support both broad corporate and Treasury-specific initiatives.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Initiate and implement global analysis related to foreign currency risk and recommended actions to address these risks
    • Perform macro-economic research and analysis
    • Apply derivative hedging instruments
    • Interact with Forex (FX) banking partners
    • Analyze FX forecasts and results and optimize hedging costs, hedge ratios, and hedge structures
    • Perform extensive analysis of derivative hedging instruments and evaluate the impact on the portfolios and our performance
    • Work with the team to develop analytical tools to support portfolio management
    • Participate in quarter-end accounting close activities and ensure compliance with hedge accounting standards
    • Work with cross-functional teams, including Tax and Financial Planning and Analysis team, to support both broad corporate and Treasury-specific initiatives
    • Help create and support global cash forecasting and working capital management processes, including cash flow forecast and the connection with the organization’s balance sheet and free cash flow forecasts

    Required skills

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; MBA is considered a plus
    • 4+ years of experience in investment banking, treasury, or other corporate finance roles
    • Experience with foreign exchange risk management and hedging
    • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
    • Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency
    • Comfortable handling multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Flexible with the ability to work as part of a team
