    Job summary

    The Red Hat Content team is looking for a Content Strategist to write for our website in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you’ll work as part of the Content team that works with product and corporate marketing teams to help our global prospects and customers solve complicated IT and business problems. You will work directly with marketers to plan for, write, and edit digital marketing content. The team advocates for a consistent voice across all of Red Hat Marketing. We are students of content marketing, digital marketing, translation and localization strategy, branding, community building, and open source technologies. You will help us simplify and amplify the Red Hat voice, to engage IT prospects positively along their entire Red Hat experience, to connect Red Hat content contributors, and to build awareness of the importance of quality writing and communication at Red Hat.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Partner with multiple marketing teams to plan for and write engaging marketing content
    • Conduct content audits, A/B testing, and create content optimization plans with stakeholders and cross-functional Scrum teams based on specific conversion goals
    • Collaborate with data analysts, SEO and on-site search experts, and UX teams to identify clear goals for marketing content
    • Measure the effectiveness of your projects against defined goals and larger marketing team goals
    • Consult with Marketing and Content team members to monitor content performance and suggest improvements
    • Connect with content contributors across Red Hat to create consistent experiences for prospects and customers
    • Apply your unique skills and insights to take on passion projects that make Red Hat better
    • Be an advocate for the Red Hat brand and voice
    • Be a continual student of your craft and share your insights and ideas with others across the company

    Required skills

    • 4+ years of relevant experience as a website writer or content strategist
    • Experience with AP style guide
    • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and time effectively
    • Ability to understand and simplify complex information
    • Experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Drupal, Eloqua, Marketo, Salesforce.com, QlikView, BrightEdge, ClickTale, or similar systems and tools
    • Passion for website content and a high regard for an exceptional user experience
    • Ability to work with others in a highly collaborative work environment
    • Ability to handle multiple deadlines, manage time effectively, establish priorities, and communicate expectations to stakeholders
    • Effective and persuasive communication skills
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment
    • Global experience (beyond North America) is a plus
    • Knowledge of multiple languages is an advantage
