    Job summary

    Help shape Red Hat’s success within the scale-out storage market segment. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Sales Account Manager for the North Central U.S. region to join us. In this role, you will serve as the storage sales expert, creating and carrying out strategic and tactical sales plans. This is a unique opportunity to evangelize storage within the Red Hat suite of solutions. This remote role should be based ideally in Dallas, TX, but other areas will be considered. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Provide storage expertise for all Red Hat account managers in the territory
    • Provide expertise to field sales teams who work with accounts serviced by the Red Hat channel
    • Meet or exceed customer acquisition and storage subscription quotas
    • Create and sustain strategic customer relationships
    • Develop and close sustainable revenue across technologies
    • Guide the extended Sales team to maximize revenue growth
    • Accurately forecast and close sales in alignment with company goals

    Required skills

    • 10+ years of successful enterprise storage sales experience
    • Demonstrated record of top sales performance
    • Ability to communicate well over the phone and in person
    • Willingness to travel to customer sites when needed
    • Executive relationships within the account set
    • Storage expertise and experience selling open source solutions
    • Knowledge of UNIX and Linux operating systems and cloud technologies is a plus
