    Job summary

    The Red Hat Marketing Communications team is looking for a project manager to join us as a Marketing Communications Specialist in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will serve as a point of contact between account managers for our internal stakeholders, creatives, external agencies, and strategists on the Marketing Communications team. Be prepared to experiment with agile practices, coordinating between program leads, strategists, and creatives to tackle complex marketing initiatives one project at a time. As a Marketing Specialist, you’ll need to be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while practicing clear, consistent communication.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Collaborate, plan, and carry out projects with account managers, program leads, and creatives as they align with corporate needs and priorities
    • Ensure that creative deliverables are implemented in compliance with Red Hat’s brand standards and align with other key corporate marketing initiatives
    • Manage multiple, simultaneous projects with cross-functional creative teams and external agencies
    • Maintain transparency and momentum of projects through project plans, timelines, and deliverables
    • Serve as an ambassador of agile practices and advocate for continuous improvement
    • Serve as a point of contact for creative and account teams to optimize workflows and effectiveness across the organization

    Required skills

    • Bachelor’s degree; marketing, business, or communication are a plus
    • Experience in corporate marketing, digital marketing, and project or account management
    • Experience working in a marketing or creative agency with a solid understanding of the creative process
    • Exceptional communication, organizational, problem-solving, and relationship management skills
    • Experience working in a global, collaborative, cross-functional team
    • Flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment
    • Ability to learn while doing, thus finding opportunities to teach others
    • Ability to effectively give, receive, and apply feedback


    The following are considered a plus:


    • Experience working within a technology organization
    • Familiarity with agile practices (scrum and kanban) and experience working with or on agile teams
    • Knowledge of Red Hat’s portfolio of offerings and competitive landscape
    • Understanding of and passion for open source
