    Job summary

    The Red Hat Operations team is looking for a Sales Incentive Analyst to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be a core part of the worldwide sales incentive, compensation, and rewards plan design process for the global Red Hat Sales and Services team. You’ll lead the sales incentives communications efforts and engage with our sales teams across the globe to design and implement best practices. As a Sales Incentive Analyst, you will also serve as a subject matter expert on sales incentives plan design and you’ll need to have excellent understanding of go-to-market strategies for software companies. We will consider relocation assistance to Raleigh, NC for the right candidate.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Provide expertise and vision on effective incentive plan design and best practices that will motivate sales excellence, guide go-to-market goals, and align with the total rewards strategy
    • Guide end-to-end integration of sales incentives plans with coverage goals and quota setting processes
    • Be closely connected with the Sales team to understand their various plan design needs and serve as an advocate for their strategic goals
    • Implement a program for comprehensive year-round measurement of sales incentive plan effectiveness that includes structured feedback mechanisms
    • Collaborate across Finance, People, and Sales teams to refine the sales incentives benchmarking processes
    • Develop and implement an end-to-end communications plan that provides a multi-tiered approach to engaging with sales teams and cross-functional partners
    • Engage with sales leaders to design and optimize top-performer rewards programs like the President’s Club
    • Monitor performance of communications strategies, programs, and initiatives through key metrics; gather real-time feedback from sales and operations teams to improve future communications
    • Adjust future deliverables based on metrics to reach maximum effectiveness and efficiency
    • Partner with Sales Enablement and internal communications teams to align messaging across initiatives and platforms

    Required skills

    • 8+ years of experience in leading and delivering compensation solutions in a consulting or management role, ideally in the enterprise software industry
    • Knowledge of typical compensation plan structures in enterprise software (quotas, accelerators, pay mix, and on-target earnings)
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a distributed, global, and multicultural organization
    • Business insight and skills to engage business leaders on business terms and deliver business solutions
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with excellent presentation skills
    • Analytical and process-oriented mindset
    • Motivated problem-solver with the ability to manage priorities without direct supervision
    • Change management training or certification is a plus
