    Job summary

    The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) team is looking for a Business Analyst to join the Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be pivotal in helping to transform our analytics capabilities. Initially, you’ll be working with a global team on the deployment of Tableau, followed by ongoing product ownership and administration of Tableau and other tools as needed. You’ll provide the vision, roadmap, and feature roadmap for the tools under your purview. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for working directly with internal customers to ensure that feature enhancements are prioritized and deployed timely. You should also ideally have 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst and knowledge of agile methodologies and be an excellent communicator.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Plan, prioritize, and design features for the enhancement and growth of the offering
    • Carry out tool administration activities like security group definitions and implementation, report and folder structure definition, and other tasks as needed
    • Lead release planning with customers to ensure timely and impactful feature delivery
    • Work with user groups to identify issues, analyze and document root causes, and implement mitigation actions
    • Communicate the feature release roadmap to customers and guide tool adoption

    Required skills

    • Experience with administration of customer relationship management (CRM) or data visualization tools like Power BI, Qlik Sense, and Tableau
    • Knowledge of data architecture practices and ETL
    • Technical competency related to IT industry standards and best practices
    • Proficient in communicating and coordinating technology solutions and processes
    • Motivated with excellent time management skills
    • 5+ years of experience working in business intelligence with data analytics tools
    • 2+ years of experience working with data manipulation programming languages like SQL
    • 2+ years of experience working in a business analyst role


    The following are considered a plus:

     

    • Experience working with cloud solutions like Tableau Online to manage permission sets, users, security roles, workflows, data integrations, and security provisioning
    • Experience working with data redundancies and back ups
    • Familiarity with configuration, patch deployment, access control, and upgrade administration of Tableau
    • Experience with Tableau Server management like clustering and load balancing
