    Job summary

    The Red Hat Digital Design team is looking for a Senior Digital Designer to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will contribute to our team's marketing initiatives and be responsible for the design and production of digital solutions across multiple channels, including redhat.com, ansible.com, openshift.com, emails, and promotional kits. You’ll operate in an agile, team-oriented environment.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Interpret requirements and research to create digital experiences that connect people to Red Hat's offerings and services in meaningful, compelling ways
    • Produce UX and visual designs for website updates, landing pages, digital advertising units, digital marketing field kits, and email programs
    • Facilitate ideation through brainstorming and sketching exercises to determine the direction for designs; push concepts forward with rapid prototyping
    • Support the team with an eye for detail; contribute to HTML, CSS, graphic, animation, and rich media production
    • Present design solutions to internal stakeholders, marketing managers, and senior management for review and approval
    • Define design production processes, identify process improvements, and promote changes that make the team more efficient and effective

    Required skills

    • 6+ years of experience designing websites or digital advertising programs for large organizations
    • Extremely detail-oriented and able to define ideas down to a production specification level
    • Solid working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, current web standards, responsive web layouts, web animation, email standards, and digital advertising standards
    • Good communicator and creative thinker; understanding of customer-centric approaches to digital marketing and inbound and lead generation strategies
    • Expert knowledge of digital graphic production, layout, and typography and user-experience (UX) design
    • Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple projects and priorities that change frequently
    • Learning mindset; desire to master new technologies and tools
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (journalism, marketing, communications, or graphic design)
    • Online portfolio that demonstrates visual design skills; experience creating digital experiences and rich media
    • Experience designing digital materials in a B2B IT or technology context is a plus
