    Job summary

    The Red Hat North America (NA) Consulting team is looking for a Contracts Administrator to join the Consulting Operations team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the consulting team to manage requests for contracts from inception to full implementation. You’ll work directly with the internal field sales, services sales, management, and internal governance teams like Bid Desk, Legal Affairs, Regional Project Management Office (PMO), Global Risk Management, and Quality Assurance Office to manage the creation and approval process of consulting services contracts. As a Contracts Administrator, you will receive requests for contracts. You will then create the documents and ensure compliance with consulting legal terms, pricing, discounting, and deal structure. You’ll guide the contract through Bid Desk and Legal Affairs teams to obtain official corporate approval of the constructed document. You‘ll support the U.S. West Coast, working within the U.S. West Coast business hours.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Serve as a primary point of contact for the consulting team to manage requests for contracts from inception to full implementation
    • Triage requests for new contracts and contract revisions for all lines of business within the NA Consulting team, including industry verticals and public sector
    • Construct and revise contracts based on corporate templates, your business insight, and internal policies, amending preset language as appropriate
    • Work directly with internal field sales, services sales, and internal governance teams like Bid Desk, Legal Affairs, Regional PMO, Global Risk Management, and QA to manage the approval process of professional service contracts
    • Ensure compliance with consulting legal terms, pricing, discounting, and deal structure
    • Guide the contract through Bid Desk and Legal Affairs teams to obtain official corporate approval of the constructed document
    • Identify and track key performance indicators for future efficiency improvements; the KPIs may include volume by region, technology and role, contract type, presales duration, or anticipated fulfilment capacity
    • Develop metrics to support process tracking and decision-making; identify process or business performance gaps  and implement process improvement initiatives
    • Document all Contract Administration business processes and organizational policies
    • Serve as the main point of contact between business areas and corporate support functions
    • Serve as the NA Consulting team’s subject matter expert and and key program stakeholder for any corporate initiatives centered on creating efficiencies in the quoting and contracting process

    Required skills

    • Prior consulting services industry experience, preferably in IT consulting services or public sector
    • Bachelor's degree with emphasis on contract management, acquisition, and procurement
    • Experience crafting responses to RFIs and RFPs
    • 3+ years of experience working with sales or services, creating and internally negotiating non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), master services agreements, consulting services statements of work (SoWs), subcontracting agreements, RFIs, and RFPs
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and persuasion skills in a fast-paced environment with different levels of the organization and external customers
    • Analytical skills to ensure proper pricing, advice on margin considerations and discounting practices and behavior, and reporting of capacity needs
    • Ability to work as part of an ever-changing team while demonstrating flexibility and focus on delivering results
    • Attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies
    • Ability to work U.S. Pacific Time (PT) business hours
