    Job summary

    The Cloud Platforms Technical Marketing team is looking for a Technical Product Marketing Manager
    to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you’ll be one of the subject matter experts for Red Hat OpenShift. You will create, lead, and organize the outbound technical activities and assets for product management, engineering, sales architecture (partner and customer) to guide success for Red Hat Cloud Platforms. Primary activities involve practical creation and design of product demonstrations and technical content (technical blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, etc.) to help the Field Sales team better sell our Red Hat Cloud Platforms solutions with a primary focus on Red Hat OpenShift.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Collaborate with product management teams to understand and prioritize feature and solutions definition; ensure that marketing plans align with market directions and support the roadmap and releases of our offerings
    • Participate in technical aspects of go to market engagements like roadshows, workshops, webinars, demos of offerings and solutions, industry and partner events, and sales enablement and training
    • Collaborate with sales teams where required in high-touch accounts worldwide through close engagement with field sales and services
    • Serve as an infrastructure expert and ensure comprehensive understanding of the market’s current state of conditions through research and awareness of customer needs and competitive offerings
    • Create technical marketing collateral (internal and external) with cloud infrastructure marketing teams, including technical presentations, whitepapers, case studies, and more
    • Create and carry out solution demos for use externally with trade shows, customers, and more
    • Guide technical expertise and vision across public domains, including blogs, web, social media, and other outbound marketing activities
    • Work with alliance and ecosystem partners through the alliance teams to develop joint value propositions
    • Create other technical marketing proof points while working with other teams that are specific to performance benchmarks, reference architectures, etc.

    Required skills

    • 2-5 years of related experience, preferably within an area of cloud infrastructure software solutions (operating system, cloud, virtualization) or systems administration
    • 2+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift or similar Kubernetes-based technology, including experience with service provider solutions, independent software vendor (ISV) partners, or distribution vendors
    • 2+ years of solutions engineering or solutions architecture experience
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science; or equivalent experience
    • Experience with Linux, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, containers, etc.
    • Domain knowledge and experience with open source projects, data center networking, and storage
    • Demonstrated record of success in a fast-moving technical solutions environment
    • Solid written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
    • Solid technical knowledge and the ability to explain customer technical requirements and use cases to engineering and product management teams
    • Success working in a persuasion-driven cross-functional environment with a remote and global workforce
    • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities while working in a highly complex environment
    • Ability to articulate the technical value proposition of our offerings and evangelize both solutions and stand-alone offerings internally and externally to both partners and customers
