    Job summary

    The Red Global Partners and Alliances team is looking for an Alliance Partnership Account Manager to join us in California. In this role, you’ll manage and lead the relationship with a key strategic cloud provider partner. You will be oversee the development and implementation of multi-year plans to rapidly grow revenue with this partner. Your primary focus will be the development of joint strategic initiatives across Red Hat and the partner as well as the creation of go-to-market programs in support of these initiatives.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Lead the global alliance by presenting Red Hat's value proposition to this partner and to their customers and partners
    • Build and lead a sustainable and mutually beneficial relationship with this partner to promote joint organizational and financial investment
    • Build and implement a joint global business plan with clear goals, objectives, and metrics
    • Develop new, creative, and scalable solutions that address marketplaces opportunities
    • Develop and implement joint marketing and go-to-market programs with the partner to ensure program success
    • Support the field sales team in implementing with the partner on a global basis
    • Oversee partner management including contract negotiations, the development of strategic and mutually beneficial relationships, and the managing of collaborative programs
    • Provide guidance to and work effectively across the Red Hat internal stakeholders including field sales, product business units, finance, legal, and business affairs

    Required skills

    • 10+ years of experience in alliances, business development and sales, or consulting
    • Demonstrated leader with a track record of leading virtual teams and delivering results
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
    • Good planning and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to apply these skills to complex situations with competing priorities
    • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior business leaders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet expectations
    • Highly collaborative work style with the ability to gather consensus and take decisive and timely action
    • Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred
    • Knowledge of Red Hat, open source, Linux, middleware, and cloud preferred
