    Job summary

    The Red Hat Solutions Architecture team is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join us in New York City, NY. In this role, you will manage and develop key system integrator (SI) technical sales relationships with focus on the financial services industry (FSI). In this role, you will develop sales engineer, architect, and technology practice relationships to become a trusted advisor and help impact and accelerate the adoption of our core cloud and container platforms, application development and deployment solutions, and infrastructure solutions. You'll work with these strategic partnerships to generate additional revenue growth and identify new projects for Red Hat’s solutions, including application infrastructure services like business rules management, business process automation, DevOps, or container technologies.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Demonstrate Red Hat's value proposition, specifically with our cloud, application development, and middleware portfolio, to key partner technical sales teams to help identify and create valuable partnerships
    • Develop and deliver technical enablement plans and solutions-oriented technical presentations with partners that are aligned with our North America (NA) go-to-market strategy
    • Conduct workshops and facilitate engineering and presales contacts with the partner ecosystem
    • Encourage and establish Red Hat’s offerings as key technology solutions with a focus on application development technologies
    • Own and meet a revenue quota and perform regular reviews and reports about the opportunities that your assigned partners are working on
    • Facilitate regular communication between partners and Red Hat’s business teams and field sales teams

    Required skills

    • 5+ years of experience with full life cycle application development, including proven middleware architecture experience with processes like agile methodology, supply-chain management (SCM), continuous integration (CI) and delivery (CD), test-driven development (TDD), service-oriented architecture (SOA), message-oriented middleware (MOM), governance, high availability, scaling, distributed applications, clustering, etc.
    • 3+ years of presales and sales engineering experience
    • 2+ years of experience in financial services or related industries
    • Understanding of complex enterprise-focused solutions and architectures
    • Broad understanding of the IT application landscape across infrastructure, middleware, and cloud technologies, including enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer-relationship management (CRM), human capital management (HCM), etc.
    • Motivated with the ability to work well within a team
    • Excellent communication, written, verbal, and presentation skills in English
    • Proven record of selling software technology
    • Willingness to travel up to 50%
    • Certifications like Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification and The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) are a plus
    • Knowledge of Linux or open source offerings is a plus
