    Job summary

    The Red Hat Management Business Unit team is looking for a Principal Product Manager to join us in Durham, NC. In this role, you will help guide the growth and adoption of the Red Hat Ansible Automation Certification Program. The Red Hat Ansible Automation Certification Program is a strategic component of the Red Hat Connect for Technology Partners Program. Working with a cross-functional team, you will synthesize inputs directly from partners, customers, support, and field sales teams into roadmaps and portfolio integrations of offerings, while continually engaging with the Red Hat Ansible Automation product managers and engineering teams to ensure successful growth and adoption of the Red Hat Ansible Automation Certification Program. As a Principal Product Manager, you will serves as a representative of the overall product team. You’ll need to support confidence and excitement among partners, customers, internal stakeholders, and the broader product team. You will be responsible for a cross-functional program team, providing data and guidance to validate difficult decisions, and maintain the best possible outcomes.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Collaborate with program stakeholders to deliver a scalable platform for the onboarding of new Red Hat Ansible Automation partners
    • Guide the creation of enablement materials for the Red Hat Training and Certification (RHT) partner teams
    • Assist RHT partner teams with development and implementation of independent software vendor (ISV) partner recruitment programs
    • Work closely with RHT and partner marketing teams to develop joint webinars, blogs, and partner solution briefs
    • Prioritize and track key contributing partners and in-progress integrations
    • Assist with the analysis of RHT field data to deliver strategic partner decisions
    • Build relationships with Red Hat Account and Partner teams in order to provide input from the field into partner prioritization decisions
    • Work with other program stakeholders to track and foster partner feedback and market data to ensure that Ansible Automation Certification offers a differentiation for Ansible Partners
    • Collaborate to align strategic and tactical roadmaps with Red Hat’s objectives, portfolio of opportunities, and peer product strategies
    • Work closely with the product management and engineering teams
    • Serve as an evangelist to inform and educate partner requirements and feedback
    • Ensure cross-functional collaboration with engineering, support, documentation, marketing, and other teams to advocate partner requirements

    Required skills

    • 6+ years of experience within product management, product marketing, solutions architecture, or development in the software industry
    • 5+ years of experience in information technology (IT) infrastructure software including Linux and other operating systems, virtualization, and container technologies
    • 3+ years of work experience with larger enterprise customers from a software development, service and support delivery, offering definition, or even potentially a sales role
    • Ability to think strategically and tactically to deliver program enhancements on time
    • Proven record of persuading others without having direct authority over them
    • Ability to cultivate team flexibility under changing conditions
    • Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to author blogs, develop and deliver presentations, and serve as a product spokesperson
    • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams and motivate others
    • Familiarity with and previous participation in agile development processes
    • Pragmatic Marketing Certification as well as knowledge of open source software development methodologies is a plus
    • Willingness to travel up to 20%
