    Job summary

    The Red Hat Global Learning Services (GLS) team is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will lead the continued development of the Red Hat Learning Subscription program. This fast-growing platform delivers tremendous value for Red Hat’s customers and is the most important part of our digital learning transformation. You will become responsible for product planning and realization throughout the product life cycle for Red Hat’s digital learning experience. Your responsibilities will include gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining and guiding the strategy and vision for Red Hat Learning Subscription, as well as closely working with key stakeholders within Red Hat and with our customers to ensure that revenue and customer satisfaction goals are being met. As a Product Manager responsible for Red Hat’s training digital delivery platforms, you will need to have a balance of technical and business insight along with a focus on delivery and realization.You’ll need to be passionate about creating a compelling vision of our digital learning experience for the customer journey and have the ability to translate that vision into a roadmap for success.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Define and maintain a best-in-class Red Hat Learning Subscription strategy and roadmap
    • Provide technical leadership on Red Hat’s training digital offerings
    • Deliver requirement documents and use cases with prioritized features and corresponding justification based on customer problems, requests and support issues, market trends, and competitive alternatives and growth opportunities
    • Partner with our development team to define solutions aligned to our roadmap
    • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and integrations
    • Cooperate with and persuade other product managers to align their roadmaps to ensure portfolio and customer success
    • Become an expert in the field with respect to the competition
    • Develop the core positioning and messaging for our portfolio of offerings
    • Serve as a leader within the company
    • Coordinate cross-organizational teams; ensure that teams are globally synchronized concerning messaging, deliverables, and communications

    Required skills

    • Minimum of 5+ years of experience working as a product manager
    • Demonstrated success defining and launching offerings
    • 7+ years of experience working in the technology field
    • Critical thinking skills with a proven ability to develop creative solutions
    • Ability to translate technology features into customer benefits
    • Solid written and verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Experience presenting to medium to large audiences and to leadership
    • Bachelor’s degree; MBA is preferred
    • Technical background with experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and DevOps
    • Excellent teamwork skills
    • Experience working with an agile development team
    • Proven ability to persuade cross-functional teams without authority
    • Willingness to travel
    • Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
    • 2-4+ years of product marketing experience, preferably within the software industry
