    Job summary

    The Red Hat Enterprise Data and Analytics team is looking for a Project Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will manage the successful implementation of several data and analytics projects. You’ll also manage project activities related to assessing, defining, designing, developing, and implementing phases of projects involving internal and third-party data (e.g., D&B) to solutions for a revised customer hierarchy, market analysis database, business rules engine, etc. As a Project Manager, you will coordinate with teams from sales, product management, customer service operations, finance, HR, and internal business technology owners in order to ensure that projects are successful.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Manage project implementation from initiation to closure
    • Be accountable for project results along with project sponsors
    • Work with project sponsors and stakeholders to complete project charter outline, scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and schedule
    • Complete work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task
    • Develop a detailed project plan and provide a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed
    • Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders
    • Serve as a mediator between stakeholders and team members
    • Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout the project life cycle
    • Effectively manage project scope by ensuring that any changes to scope are documented and approved with project leadership
    • Determine how results will be measured and complete a post-project evaluation to determine the level of success
    • Ensure that all project documents are safely archived following project completion

    Required skills

    • 8+ years of experience in sales operations or business operations project management or technical project management
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management information systems (MIS), or engineering; Project Management Professional (PMP) or Project Management Institute (PMI) certifications are a plus
    • Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) applications; Salesforce.com (SFDC) or Oracle are a plus
    • Working knowledge of relational databases; good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Drive, and Tableau
    • Data management experience; thorough understanding of data management practices, including customer hierarchy structures, third-party data management in a B2B environment, and master data management concepts
    • System integration project experience; direct experience managing significant change to interconnected systems with teams across a multinational organization is a big plus
    • Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities well in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
    • Good communication and presentation skills; ability to share and experience sharing complex topics at various levels of an organization
