The Red Hat Legal team is looking for a talented attorney to serve as a Senior Commercial Attorney to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will focus in part on indirect sales transactions through our strategic channel partners. You'll interact with management and key business customers while providing direct support to Red Hat’s sales teams (particularly our Global Partners and Alliances sales team) in structuring and closing deals, as well as defining legal strategies. You’ll need to be able to assess legal risks while applying good legal and business judgment. You’ll also need to have excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external business customers while addressing complex issues in an accurate, clear, and concise, but also thorough manner. This role is ideal for a candidate with experience negotiating contracts, understanding of the practical business risks and needs of customers, passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing technology and business landscape. As a Senior Commercial Attorney, you’ll help us face unique challenges like developing and maintaining a framework for supporting a thriving business built on open source principles. You’ll need to be able to tackle these challenges and to help build and sustain a great technology company in a high-energy and demanding environment.
