    Job summary

    The Red Hat Open Source Program Office (OSPO) is looking for a Community Architect to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will help associates, corporate partners, customers, and community participants expand their open source community skills and knowledge. You will build content and provide training to share OSPO's expertise in open source, project management, and community building. As OSPO continues to build new content in these areas, you’ll translate this knowledge base to presentation-worthy content and deliver that content to various audiences. As a Community Architect, you will work as part of a globally distributed team.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Coordinate with community managers and knowledge experts to determine curriculum needs and schedule internal and external sessions
    • Design effective training programs for open source, community management, and best practices for open source business
    • Work with other training and enablement groups to ensure reliable community and open source content for their programs
    • Coordinate online and physical meetings and presentations with associates, customers, partners, and community participants
    • Gather feedback from sessions to determine improvement areas for the training curriculum
    • Coordinate with content providers to improve OSPO knowledge base

    Required skills

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 2+ years of training experience in the IT industry with a proven record of achievement
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Excellent communication skills to engage decision makers at any level
    • Ability to work with many community projects
    • Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools
    • Familiarity with open source methodologies
    • Good computer skills; design skills a plus
    • Willingness to travel
