    Job summary

The Red Hat Sales Operations team is looking for a Sales Operations Analyst to join our Post-Close and Synergy Office (PCSO) team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will support the Field Sales and Services team to eliminate inefficiencies and enable the team to promote revenue and enhance Red Hat’s competitive position in the market. You will also lead and manage programs and projects for this team, working closely with sponsors, project owners, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders to define deliverables and manage tasks, resources, costs, and progress. As a Sales Operations Analyst, you will address post-IBM and Red Hat acquisition-related issues that affect the day-to-day seller activities with no clear resolution paths, program-manage these until resolution, and have them documented. This may include the escalation of issues that require higher-level intervention or are arising repeatedly, and answering questions about the rules of engagement or decision rights or processes. To be successful in this role, you must be comfortable working in a highly matrixed reporting team and with ambiguity in the workplace, while also having the skills needed to establish clarity through documentation and process designs. This position is open to internal candidates only. Outside candidates, including referrals, are not being accepted at this time.

    • Capture, track, and escalate go-to-market synergy-related issues to ensure the resolution of systemic issues
    • Direct sellers and partners to appropriate resources, including run book and internal experts
    • Proactively seek feedback from sellers and partners, use data and analytics to identify potential problems, and develop and document best practices to share across the global PCSO team
    • Develop familiarity with the IBM and Red Hat sales teams and connect sellers and partners with each other outside of their typical pathways
    • Provide enablement training to the staff of the sales and support teams
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Red Hat regional sales leadership, providing advice to sales leadership based on analysed data, best practice sharing, and experience
    • Provide regular and timely updates to the regional and cross-geographical leadership teams

    Required skills

    • University degree, ideally a master’s degree or an MBA in business with a project analytics
    • project, program, and process management acumen
    • 5+ years of international work experience in sales or sales support functions, preferably in the software industry
    • Experience working with multiple projects in a matrix environment
    • Experience in a sales or sales operations or support role and empathetic to the concerns of sellers
    • Located in the market that you support and speaking the language of that market
    • Responsive to seller inquiries, some of which might be urgent
    • Resourceful; ability to find answers to questions to which no easy answers are available
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Well-established connections within Red Hat; ability to navigate cross-geographical, business, and corporate functions
    • Committed to Rad Hat and to the success of the Red Hat transition into IBM, not on the way out
