    Job summary

    Red Hat's Cloud Platforms Product Marketing team is looking for an OpenShift Marketing Intern to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will help analyze the customer adoption trends for our open hybrid cloud solution and the business and technical benefits customers are deriving from the solution. This is a strategic project, as it will directly influence our product development and marketing direction. As an OpenShift Marketing Intern, you will get the opportunity to interact with various teams within Red Hat and our customers.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Develop a deep understanding of emerging technologies, e.g. cloud, Kubernetes, containers, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, automation, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), internet of things (IoT), edge computing, etc.
    • Develop and carry out strategies for gathering customer adoption trends by working closely with Red Hat’s sales teams and key stakeholders within the Cloud Platform Business team
    • Analyze customer inputs and develop strategic recommendations for the product development, marketing, and sales teams on how we can continue to differentiate and win future deals

    Required skills

    • Ability to work full-time hours during Summer 2020 in the location listed
    • Fundamental knowledge of emerging technologies, e.g., cloud, kubernetes, containers, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, AI and ML, etc.
    • Analytical skills with ability to work with lots of data and derive key insights and trends
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Leadership abilities to persuade people that don’t report directly to you
    • IT or business background; MBA is a plus
    • 2+ years of industry experience are a plus
