    Job summary

    The Red Hat Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team is looking for an Analytics Architect Intern to join us in Raleigh, NC for the summer of 2020. In this role, you will help us develop enterprise-grade analytics technologies and deliver strategy, solutions, and governance designed to support all Red Hatters in taking action based on data. You will design and deploy technical solutions to enable capabilities like real-time streaming of data, big data processing, and advanced analytics. As an Analytics Architect Intern, you will also help us increase adoption of these solutions by developing reference materials and performing use case analyses. As a member of the EDA technology strategy team, you will have an opportunity to showcase your technical capabilities in deployment of solutions like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and gain experience deploying web services.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Work with EDA’s technology strategy team in design and deploy of technical solutions
    • Document use cases and requirements for technical solutions
    • Meet with stakeholders to understand current usage of platforms and how they could improve

    Required skills

    • Ability to work full-time hours during summer 2020 in the location listed
    • Currently enrolled in a graduate-level program related to the internship
    • Experience working with one or more web services technologies like AWS, Google, IBM, etc.
    • Proven ability to communicate with stakeholders and document requirements
    • Deep knowledge of advanced analytical methods like machine learning (ML), deep learning, and utilization of GPU for the purposes of data science
    • Solid writing skills, including creation of new content and editing the work of others
    • Ability to work with geographically distributed and agile teams
    • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
    • Background in statistics, data, or IT is a plus
